Enhanced display mode incremental update
Enhanced View Mode offers several usability improvements when viewing, exploring, and interacting with Stories. It also provides performance improvements depending on the characteristics of the dashboard and the workflows performed.
Once the story is re-saved, the improved rendering mode now supports BW Input Control Text Presentation Default and Section Widget (on Canvas Pages) to improve user experience and ease of use. For more information about Enhanced Display Mode, consult the following resources:
Driver value tree – keyboard for increased accessibility
Working with value engine trees is easier than before as users can now use keyboard actions to create and modify them. This provides greater accessibility for users who prefer keyboard input over a mouse or touch screen.
Supported keyboard actions include:
- Number keys to write values into value engine trees
- Arrow keys to increase or decrease values quickly
- + / – / * keys to enter mathematical functions
Microsoft Office add-on
DWC integration and improved open dialogue
The SAP Analytics Cloud add-on now connects to the Direct Data Warehouse Cloud (DWC), the add-on’s first direct connection. Users can now use any analytics datasets in the DWC, as well as connect to other live data sources connected to the DWC. Furthermore, Open Dialog has been redesigned to better include the concepts of connection and spaces.
With the Excel add-in, DWC users can now achieve next-level flexibility by taking advantage of the capabilities of DWC in the Microsoft environment.
Please note that users must have an SAC tenant to use the add-on to connect to the DWC.
