Robert Durst gets life in prison for the murder of Susan Berman

During the trial, prosecutors said Durst shot Berman in her Los Angeles home on the night of December 23, 2000.

Before her death, Berman reportedly intended to speak with New York investigators about the disappearance of Durst’s wife, Kathywhich was lost in 1982 and has yet to be found. According to the prosecutors, she wanted to confess to giving Dorset a false argument.

Durst was first tried in March 2020, but the proceedings came to a complete halt when the coronavirus pandemic began. After a 14-month hiatus, the jury returned to Los Angeles court in May to resume proceedings.
